The Clarsach Society London Branch Newsletter

Editorial

Dear Members,

Marigold Verity has kindly offered to organise an ensemble day for us, on Sunday June 26th, at her house in Sherborne, Dorset. This will be for all abilities; there will be opportunities to play all together, and in smaller groups. Lunch & tea are included, and some music will be available beforehand on request. More information and a downloadable booking form is available here.

The branch AGM will be held on Sunday July 3, at 3 pm, followed by a celidh at 4 pm, at St James’ Church, New Cross, London SE14. If you would like to come please email us.

The programme for our mini harp festival in London, during the weekend of July 9-10, has now been finalised. You can read more information about it and download a booking form here.

A number of bookings have already been received for the weekend autumn residential course (October 21-23), at The Friars in Kent, with tutors Isobel Mieras from Scotland, Jan Bennett from Northumbria, and Anne-Marie O’Farrell from Ireland. This course always proves to be enjoyable. More information and a downloadable booking form is available here.

Please do join us for one or more of these events if you can !

My thanks to Helen English, Thelma Howell, Peter Murphy, Danielle Perrett, Lynne Watkins and Christine Weaver for contributions to this newsletter.

With best wishes
