Dear Members, Marigold Verity has kindly offered to organise an ensemble day for us, on Sunday June 26th, at her house in Sherborne, Dorset. This will be for all abilities; there will be opportunities to play all together, and in smaller groups. Lunch & tea are included, and some music will be available beforehand on request. More information and a downloadable booking form is available here. The branch AGM will be held on Sunday July 3, at 3 pm, followed by a celidh at 4 pm, at St James’ Church, New Cross, London SE14. If you would like to come please email us. The programme for our mini harp festival in London, during the weekend of July 9-10, has now been finalised. You can read more information about it and download a booking form here. A number of bookings have already been received for the weekend autumn residential course (October 21-23), at The Friars in Kent, with tutors Isobel Mieras from Scotland, Jan Bennett from Northumbria, and Anne-Marie O’Farrell from Ireland. This course always proves to be enjoyable. More information and a downloadable booking form is available here. Please do join us for one or more of these events if you can ! My thanks to Helen English, Thelma Howell, Peter Murphy, Danielle Perrett, Lynne Watkins and Christine Weaver for contributions to this newsletter. With best wishes |
