For Sale: Two Beautiful Small Harps Danielle Perrett currently has in her care two beautiful small harps with a super sound made by Gillian Weiss from Australia. These were brought over to demonstrate at the Mini Harp Fest earlier in the summer here in London but due to the fact that Gillian was not going home directly to Australia she left the harps here and has asked as a favour if they could be found good homes, please. They are an absolute bargain, because they are very versatile with the following configurations included in the price ! : 1) detachable plinth for the harp to stand on the ground 2) detachable plinth with 4 legs for sitting at 'normal' chair height 3) the latter can be used as the stool on which the player sits and 4) detachable 'kneebone' stabiliser (Absolutely fantastic in Danielle's opinion!) for playing the harp as a lap harp 5) not supplied but you could play this harp standing with a strap supporting it to the body. The harps are made of Australian woods and have 26 nylon strings. One of the instruments goes from F below middle C at the bottom to C three octaves above middle C at the top whilst the other has C an octave below middle C at the bottom to G two and a half octaves above middle C at the top. They are each an excellent buy for students or anyone wanting a super lightweight, individually made and honestly crafted instrument at only £650 per harp ono. They are not cheapskate ! You can see other harps made by Gillian on her website www.weissharps.homestead.com. These harps are most similar to lap harp no 2 on the site except that they are a lovely rich brown wood, not black as on the website. If interested, please contact Danielle via mail@clarsachsoclondon.co.uk Danielle has not become a harp dealer and is not profiting from this, by the way !
